TDC
Go Text Crazy With Virgin Mobile
|
|
TDC
has been recently working closely with Virgin Mobile, supplying
the Siemens TC35 Terminal for events including the recent V2001
music festival, the promotion of a Ministry of Sound radio station
in the London area and the MTV Europe Music Awards 2001.
Over 20,000 text messages such as jokes were sent from the audience
to a number allocated to the TC35T. The messages content was then
converted onto giant plasma screens next to the main stage. For
the first time in any festival's history, festival-goers were
able to send a text message to these screens showing limericks,
love messages and some rather risqué sentiments to the
audible delight of the crowd.
