TDC Go Text Crazy With Virgin Mobile

TDC has been recently working closely with Virgin Mobile, supplying the Siemens TC35 Terminal for events including the recent V2001 music festival, the promotion of a Ministry of Sound radio station in the London area and the MTV Europe Music Awards 2001.
Over 20,000 text messages such as jokes were sent from the audience to a number allocated to the TC35T. The messages content was then converted onto giant plasma screens next to the main stage. For the first time in any festival's history, festival-goers were able to send a text message to these screens showing limericks, love messages and some rather risqué sentiments to the audible delight of the crowd.
