Personal Firewall Accelerator Kit

The personal firewall kit provides a platform for a rapid path to production using the CX82100-12 processor and the reference board. In addition to personal firewall software, the kit includes a 5-volt, 2-amp universal wall plug power supply. There is also a documentation CD, user guide and a software license agreement.

Ethernet to HomePNA 2.0 2-Port Bridge Reference Design

The new Ethernet to HomePNA 2.0 Bridge Reference Design is made possible by a collaboration of two key industry leaders, Conexant and TRISIGNAL. Conexant is a founding member of the Home Phoneline Networking Alliance (HomePNA), a unified industry consortium of 155 companies working together to create standards-based products for home connectivity over existing phone lines. Conexant’s technological expertise and strong industry presence have allowed it to utilise the CX82100 Home Network Processor and the CX24611 HomePNA 2.0 Physical Layer Device to support this bridge. TRISIGNAL is based in Montreal, Canada, and specialises in licensing high-performance, cost reducing communication solutions for today’s Internet appliances, set-top boxes, Web phones, game machines, network and gateway equipment.

By electing to install a HomePNA system, users can save up to 30% over conventional Ethernet systems installation. That’s because there is no wiring installation. HomePNA 2.0 uses the consumer’s existing phone lines.
