SPP Bluetooth™ Modules

The
WBTV42 module is probably the most straightforward to use Bluetooth™
module we have. A few simple At commands configure the module, pairing it with remote devices if required.
These settings are stored into non-volatile memory, thereafter the module will power-up in that mode, pairing automatically on restart.
This make the WBTV42 the perfect module for cable replacement applications where the designer wants a wireless data path either between two modules, or a module and a standard Bluetooth™
device like a PDA.
The
module
has an integrated antenna so will not
require any further Bluetooth™
qualification. A development kit is
available at a very reasonable cost.
Two physical formats are available, a dual-in-line format on a 24-pin DIP form factor, and a solder-ball module, which is smaller, but requires surface mounting.
