BiSM 2 Bluetooth™ Module

The BiSM II module is a fully qualified (Bluetooth 2.0) Bluetooth module ready for integration into a product. The control of this device is achieved via the serial port using a set of well documented AT commands. Due to the simple interface and the completeness of this solution the hardware and software needed to use this module will be fairly minimal allowing products to enter the market place very quickly.
There are several different profiles available in thisproduct: GAP, SDAP, SPP, DUN, HFP, FTP. All of these profiles are selectable through the use of ATcommands making the module very flexible in use. Further to the standard functionality normally expected, the BiSM II has 9 x GPIO, 2 x 8-bit ADC inputs, and a programmable LED (on the PCB). These extra I/O lines enable the designer to quickly and simply implement a Bluetooth connection in all manner of sensor and monitoring applications where it is just not convenient to run cables.

BiSM
Bluetooth™ Module
The
BiSM module is AT command driven. AT commands are widely used
in embedded systems for controlling modems, now you can use the
same core commands and software as you have before.
The
module
supports data, audio, and has an integrated antenna so will not
require any further Bluetooth™
qualification. A development kit is
available at a very reasonable cost.
Now available is the BISM2, half the size of the BISM1, with the same features. Development kits are available at the same cost.
Soon to be available is a surface mount version, please contact us for more details.

Bluetooth™
Development/Evaluation kits
The evaluation
kit gives you everything you need to start your design
using the BiSM module. Power supply, leads, software, a motherboard
with audio support and dependent upon which version you order, a
USB Bluetooth adaptor for your PC.
The BiSM module
on the development board can be removed and used in your application
or prototypes after trialling.
